Indica strains also have a darker complexion with hints or highlights of purple. Their aroma is heavier, with strong notes of earthiness and musk.<\/p>\n

These plants also tend to grow quicker than sativas. That makes them popular among cultivators.<\/p>\n

What Are The Effects Of Cannabis Sativa?<\/h4>\n

Most cannabis consumers are aware that one group of strains tends to lift you up while the other tends to weigh you down. However, remembering which one is which can be difficult.<\/p>\n

So, let\u2019s seal this in your memory once and for all: indicas keep you in-da-couch. That is, they tend to offer relaxation and sedation to consumers. If you\u2019ve ever had couch-lock after consuming cannabis, it was likely an indica-dominant strain. Indicas are popular among consumers as a sleep aid to reduce stressful feelings and improve appetite.<\/p>\n

If indicas leave you feeling heavy, sativas generally do the opposite. They can stimulate you both physically and mentally. Also, there may be a difference in terpene makeup between most indica and sativa strains. A terpene often found in higher abundance in indica strains, Myrcene is highly associated with feeling sedated.<\/p>\n

You don\u2019t need to know about specific terpenes\u2019 concentration when trying out a new strain. If you notice that there are strains that you particularly enjoy, though, maybe take some time to dig deeper and find out if they share common terpenes.<\/p>\n

How To Choose Strain<\/h4>\n
