Have you heard?? There was Something In The Water this past weekend\u2026 <\/span><\/p>\n

The festival took place in Virginia Beach and was hosted by the incredible Pharrell Williams<\/a>. The lineup for the festival was stacked including top artists like Tavis Scott, Jay-Z, Missy Elliott, Migos, Snoop Dogg, Dave Matthews Band, Jaden Smith, Pharrell himself, and many more.<\/span><\/p>\n

Complex chose to work with Go to Team\u2019s D.C. DP<\/a> David Difalco<\/a> and apprentice Sam Caravana to capture all the spectacular footage. Our camera crew worked on capturing content for two separate shows, one being a highlight of the festival and the second being a fashion feature for Trinidad James. <\/span><\/p>\n

Our crew filmed the Travis Scott performance, interviews with Pharrell Williams and Girl Blunt, and captured fashionable B-roll of concert attendees\u2019 outfits and shoes.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our D.C. DP, David Difalco used a Sony F5 with a 24-70mm Canon L Series Lens for the primary camera and a Sony a7Sii as a wide angle shot with a 16-35mm Canon L Series Lens. The crew used the F5 to specifically capture interviews. This camera is more nimble and allowed the crew to easily manipulate natural light through different angles.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our crew\u2019s favorite part about the shoot was spending time with Pharrell during his interviews.<\/span><\/p>\n
