If you\u2019ve ever watched the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.olympic.org\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Olympics<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> you know that competitors come from all walks of life. Their journey\u2019s just as important the records they\u2019ll set.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-34741 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/assets.gototeam.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/10110537\/OLY_Lift_01-400x267.jpg\" alt=\"OLY_Lift_01\" width=\"639\" height=\"427\" srcset=\"http:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/assets.gototeam.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/10110537\/OLY_Lift_01-400x267.jpg 400w, http:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/assets.gototeam.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/10110537\/OLY_Lift_01-1024x684.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/assets.gototeam.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/10110537\/OLY_Lift_01-700x468.jpg 700w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 639px) 100vw, 639px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is the case for two 17-year old weightlifters in North <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/120.72.95.94:55167\/assignmentdesk\/site\/locations\/stlouis-missouri-video-production-camera-crew\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">St. Louis<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, who grew up in one of St. Louis&#8217;s most dangerous neighborhoods where gang violence is a daily occurrence. <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.liftforlifegym.org\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lift For Life Gym<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, a non-profit organization that serves the local youth as an after school activity to keep them off the streets and out of trouble, is nestled on the edge of the neighborhood.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These two boys started attending Lift For Life at their own admission and recognize if they hadn\u2019t started weight lifting they would be part of the very gangs they are avoiding, or even possibly behind bars. Through determination and practice the boys are setting national records for their weight classes, making them destined for the U.S. Olympic Team in 2024. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-34742 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/assets.gototeam.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/10110549\/OLY_Lift_02-400x267.jpg\" alt=\"OLY_Lift_02\" width=\"653\" height=\"436\" srcset=\"http:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/assets.gototeam.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/10110549\/OLY_Lift_02-400x267.jpg 400w, http:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/assets.gototeam.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/10110549\/OLY_Lift_02-1024x684.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/assets.gototeam.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/10110549\/OLY_Lift_02-700x468.jpg 700w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 653px) 100vw, 653px\" \/><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Olympic Channel was determined to tell the boys\u2019 incredible story and reached out to Go To Team\u2019s <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/120.72.95.94:55167\/assignmentdesk\/site\/locations\/chicago-illinois-video-production-camera-crew\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Chicago<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> crew member, <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/120.72.95.94:55167\/assignmentdesk\/site\/staff-crews\/chicago-illinois-camera-crew-video-production\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Matt Rossetti<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, to capture the true Olympic Spirit the boys exude. Matt traveled to St. Louis for this piece with his C300mk2 to interview the boys and capture footage of them training. \u201cWhile they trained I shot hi-speed footage of them squatting and deadlifting, and my second camera op shot regular speed and captured the audio of their grunting and straining to lift close 450lbs off the ground,\u201d Rossetti stated.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-34743 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/assets.gototeam.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/10110817\/BTS_01-400x267.jpg\" alt=\"BTS_01\" width=\"637\" height=\"425\" srcset=\"http:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/assets.gototeam.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/10110817\/BTS_01-400x267.jpg 400w, http:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/assets.gototeam.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/10110817\/BTS_01-1024x684.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/assets.gototeam.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/10110817\/BTS_01-700x468.jpg 700w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 637px) 100vw, 637px\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For the interview portion of this piece, we sat the boys down and used the natural light from the gym and windows to light a majority of the shot; however, this was supplemented with two Litepanel Astra\u2019s. \u00a0Next, we shot a few walk-and-talk scenes in which the kids played basketball, walked us through their gym, and walked us through the neighborhood where they grew up.
