It\u2019s always fun shooting car B-roll. The early morning light was perfect.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Honda Automotive<\/a> had cameraman co-worker Nate and I teamed up for another awesome shoot.\u00a0 This time we made the trip to Baton Rouge, Louisiana.\u00a0 It\u2019s always fun to be out in crawfish country! Nate and I were booked with the Canon C300 and a ton of GoPros<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Essentially we spent the day covering a Honda dealership workshop.\u00a0 Dealership owners and managers spent the day learning about some new technology that you can find on a variety of new Honda models.\u00a0 The day was divided into a morning workshop and an afternoon workshop.<\/p>\n

We started the day mounting GoPros on the interior and exterior of a couple Honda Civics.\u00a0 Honda requested that we shoot in 4K\/30fps on the GoPros so the editors would have room to crop in post.\u00a0 After the morning presentation was finished everyone walked outside.\u00a0 One group of 20 gathered around a couple of cars and learned about bluetooth technology and paring their phone.\u00a0 The other group piled into a couple of cars and drove off to learn about lane departure warning technology and an advanced form of cruise control.<\/p>\n

Throughout the day we got coverage of each group learning about the new technology.\u00a0 After lunch we moved the GoPros to different locations on the car.\u00a0 We shot three camera coverage of the opening lecture with the new group.\u00a0 We ended the day with coverage of the groups driving on the highway and experiencing the lane departure and cruise control features.<\/p>\n

We shot lots of footage!\u00a0 Thankfully we had a person dedicated to managing all the material.\u00a0 We did our best to copy footage throughout the day.\u00a0 The last CF cards were copying over as we packed up.\u00a0 It wasn\u2019t too long before we were wrapped and back on the road.\u00a0 It\u2019s always fun working with other Go To Team crews, and of course, awesome Honda cars.<\/p>\n
