With more than <\/span>1 million<\/span> people affected by the recent flooding and mudslides, untold <\/span>numbers <\/span>homeless, <\/span>Samaritan\u2019s Purse<\/a> sent in <\/span>teams to aid <\/span>in the relief<\/span> <\/span>ef<\/span>forts.<\/span> Known as a gold standard in the relief industry Samaritan’s Purse is led by Franklin Graham. <\/span><\/p>\n

The last few days of October brought torrential rains to the small city and the rest of the state of Tabasco, located in the Southern part of the country. The Grijalva <\/span>River flooded over its <\/span>banks and into more than 70% of <\/span>the country. <\/span>The Clark crew, with<\/span> producer <\/span>Bill Meissner, <\/span>arrived <\/span>late <\/span>Thursday <\/span>night to\u00a0cover Samaritan’s Purse’s relief efforts.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThese people had so very little to <\/span>begin with, and now<\/span> <\/span>the flood waters took all they <\/span>had,\u201d<\/span> that\u2019s <\/span>really the theme for everyone who visits <\/span>the hardest <\/span>hit <\/span>portions of the state,<\/span> often the<\/span> <\/span>poorest.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>The crew is traveling as light as possible as transportation<\/span> around the area is difficult at best. So that means the light kit is just one Bron-Kobold <\/a>200watt HMI and reflectors.<\/span> They\u2019l<\/span>l be getting creative this week like in <\/span>Denmark. <\/span>Skip is using the Sony F-900 <\/span>CineAlta<\/span> <\/span>paired with the Canon wide <\/span>angle lens and a Chrosziel mattebox for a Polarizer. South is mixing on the<\/span> Sound Devices <\/span>442 <\/span>and<\/span> using<\/span> Lectrosonic 411s paired with the new SMa transmitters. All of the sound is being captured on either Sanken lavaliers or the Schoeps shotgun.<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n
