Waiting for our first interview at Reed Arena.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

I had the pleasure of spending the day out in College Station for the SEC Network.\u00a0 We were there shooting some interviews with members of the Texas A&M Men\u2019s Basketball team.\u00a0 One of the interviews was with coach, Billy Kennedy.\u00a0 The cameras used on the shoot were the Canon C300 and 5D.<\/p>\n

\"IMG_6507\"<\/a>The crew had two hours to set up for the interviews and it was more than enough time to do so, which almost never happens. \u00a0We used the concourse at Reed Arena to set up camp. \u00a0I think we got a cool look out of it. \u00a0The space was filled with lots of natural light and I took advantage of that.<\/p>\n

I lit the subject with two Lite Panels. \u00a0A bi-colored flood was used as the key light while a spotlight was used as the back light. \u00a0A third Lite Panel flood was used to give the Texas A&M logo a little pop. \u00a0I used an 800w HMI to light the concourse area behind our subject.<\/p>\n

The main shot was achieved with a C300 and 70-200mm f2.8 lens. \u00a0I used the 5D and a 16-35mm f2.8 for the secondary shot. \u00a0This second angle was pretty cool. \u00a0We set up next to a huge Texas A&M logo. \u00a0I took full advantage of this logo for the background of the 5D shot.

After four interviews, my audio guy packed up while I roamed Reed Arena looking for cool b-roll of the basketball court and Texas A&M signage. We also started dumping media while I shot b-roll. \u00a0I was really happy with the \u201clook\u201d we walked away with. \u00a0I can\u2019t wait to shoot for SEC Network again.<\/p>\n
