After searching America\u2019s kitchens last summer, Hasbro, Inc. announced, just last week, their \u201cBatch\u201d of 7 Child Bakers ready to compete for Easy Bake 2009 Baker of the Year!<\/p>\n

Held at Disney\u2019s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, Dan Beckmann, GTT\u2019s Orlando DP, and audio operator, John Demaio, helped capture the Bake-Off, as well as, the crowning moment.<\/p>\n

12-year-old pastry aficionado, Catherine Ralston, from New Albany, Ohio, promised \u201clove at first bite\u201d with her \u201cQueen of Hearts Strawberry Tart.\u201d\u00a0 And she delivered \u2013 as the judges chose her treat as the best overall!<\/p>\n

Being chosen as a finalist for this year\u2019s competition was no easy task, though.\u00a0 Contestants had to enter their favorite recipes by using one or more Easy Bake mixes.\u00a0 The entries were then carefully judged on presentation, taste, ease of the final products delivery and creation, and finally, creative use of all the ingredients.\u00a0 All entries were submitted on-line and through the mail, along with a picture of their creation, themselves and their \u201csous-chef,\u201d which could be a parent, grandparent, aunt, or uncle.<\/p>\n

For 45 years Hasbro\u2019s Easy Bake Oven has been the culinary inspiration for kids across America.\u00a0 And the tradition continued with these 7 lucky finalists, where each became Grand Marshall\u2019s for the day in the Disney Parade at the Magic Kingdom!<\/p>\n
