\"\"<\/a>So\u00a0Fox Sports<\/a>\u00a0is coming to town and they need a creative background for some interviews. Not just a drop. \u00a0And not just black. \u00a0And it has to be different. Oh, and it can\u2019t be expensive. What do you do? \u00a0Skip Clark, one of\u00a0Go To Team<\/a>\u2019s Charlotte based crews, goes to Lowe\u2019s and wanders the aisles. \u00a0For Fox\u2019s interviews with Carolina Panthers Quarterback Jake Delhomme, Coach Fox, and other Panthers players, Skip picked up all kinds of stuff from the store to make a creative backdrop. \u00a0Skip and the rest of the crew, cameraman Rene Cusson and Go To Team\u2019s\u00a0David Baker<\/a>, started with a b\"\"<\/a>lue drop in the background then added small 5X7\u2033 roof flashing hung from fishing line. \u00a0Between the flashing and the talent they hung translucent visqueen (the real thin plastic you use to protect the floor while painting) to soften everything. \u00a0After lighting the blue background and the flashing, Skip added one last touch: oscillating fans. \u00a0As the fans moved back and forth, slowly as they were on dimmers, the flashing bounced light back and forth\u00a0\"\"<\/a>across the back of the plastic, creating beams of light that would criss-cross randomly behind the talent. \u00a0The light was diffused and moved slowly, just enough to break up what would be a flat drop. \u00a0\u201cYou can find all kinds of cool stuff at Lowe\u2019s! \u00a0I think the employees there think I\u2019m crazy when I\u2019m looking at stuff against the light and buying odd quantities (we used over 300 pieces of flashing!), but it\u2019s always better than a canned drop from photo studio!\u201d<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
