been out in Texas for almost a month shooting a pilot for a lifestyle network.\u00a0 Of course, I\u2019m not shooting everyday.\u00a0 NBC got word that I was in the Lone Star State and wanted to see if I was available to make the trip down to the state capitol.\u00a0 Luckily I was.\u00a0 Armed with a HDX 900 I headed down to Austin.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_17431\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-17431\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-17431\" title=\"Screen shot height=\"168\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-17431\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Lance Armstrong addresses the cyclists before the start of the event.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>I was there for two days covering the 15<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary of Livestrong.\u00a0 I was shooting for NBC\u2019s Rock Center.\u00a0 On the first day I manned the \u201cyellow\u201d carpet.\u00a0 My producer was hoping to catch Lance Armstrong walking down the yellow carpet.\u00a0 However, Lance decided not to make an appearance and apparently slipped in through the back door.<\/p>\n<p>On the second day of shooting I covered the Livestrong cycling event.\u00a0 Over 4,300 cyclists attended the event.\u00a0 Lance did make a brief appearance there.\u00a0 He remained positive in his remarks before disappearing again.\u00a0 Afterwards I shot some b-roll of cyclists crossing the start\/finish line.\u00a0 Some of the cyclists were pedaling up to 100 miles for the charity organization. \u00a0The Rock Center producer had hoped to get Lance interacting with fellow cyclists but like the other night, he avoid the media and disappeared.<\/p>\n<p>I had a blast in Austin.\u00a0 People are right, that city rocks.\u00a0 Can\u2019t wait to head down there again for business or pleasure.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_17432\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-17432\" style=\"width: 300px\"
