Nashville and Chicago Crews Team Up to Shoot with ESPN

Featured image

Nashville Director of Photography, Reinaldo Gentile-Rondon, traveled to Indianapolis to team up with fellow GTC DP EJ Watson and apprentice Brian Grant to shoot with ESPN China. Basketball is huge all over the world, and rising superstar Tyrese Haliburton has reached superstardom world wide, especially in China. ESPN China correspondent Chao Meng interviewed Tyrese, having him break down plays and teaching him customs held for the Chinese New Year that just passed. Reinaldo and the crew flew lights, and hid lights behind the seats in the Pacers meeting room to bring together this three camera interview set up, and worked fast to quickly change up the shot-to-shoot promos with Tyrese. The team used two Fx9s for the singles, and an F5 for the wide two shot.

Fun fact – Haliburton sounds similar to the Chinese pronunciation for “Harry Potter,” earning Tyrese the nickname “wizard” in China.
