Go Mustangs! Every year at Southern Methodist University, the business school is gifted money for their students to analyze and decide which stocks they would like to buy. This allows them to practice pitching their ideas to the rest of the class to decide which investments should be made.

This gifted money gives the students the unique opportunity to test the waters, and get experience working with the stock markets without the risk. Where was this when we were in school? It sounds like a win-win situation to us!

Fox Business Anchor, Lauren Simonetti took a trip to Dallas and visited the Cox Business School at SMU to listen in as the Undergrad and Grad students pitched stocks.

Go To Team’s Waco DP, Roger Woodruff, and apprentice, Renaildo Gentile-Rodon, were there with Fox Business to help capture it all! Footage varied from b-roll of SMU’s campus to filming interviews with the business students, as well as their Professor.

The crew used a Sony F5 camera with Fujinon MK Series lenses to capture interviews with the students. They also used this camera set up to capture b-roll around the campus.

The crew also stayed to film the lecture and stock presentations themselves from the students. During this portion of the shoot, the crew used a wide-styled approach to capture both the presenters and the professor. For lighting, Roger and Reinaldo set up light panels to ensure that the interview subjects were appropriately lit for their screen time.
