A celebration is in order!!
Hilton recently broke ground on their newest project, Motto by Hilton Hotels. The 146-room building is slated to open in 2021 and has an experience similar to the community of a hostel, however with the privacy of your very own room!
The new Hilton project will be apart of Waldo’s, an $80 million modern-use development project, which will also include food and beverage space, commercial space and ten residential units.
The development is in Atlanta’s Old Fourth Ward, a neighborhood with a storied history and bustling night-life, home to MLK’s childhood home, Ebenezer Baptist Church and the Jimmy Carter Library and Museum.
To celebrate the groundbreaking occasion, city officials, community leaders and representatives from both Hilton Hotels and Waldo’s gathered at 40 Boulevard NE in Atlanta to take part in an community-based event. The celebration centered around core elements of the Motto experience, such as performance art by a local Atlanta artist and pop-up food vendors.
Our Atlanta DP, Nate Silverman headed to the groundbreaking ceremony with Hilton Hotels to capture interviews and b-roll for the event. Nate used a Sony F5 camera with Canon L-series lenses and a camera light to capture the events highlights including interactive blue-prints for the design, local food and drink vendors, and a beautiful mural being painted on location.
After the groundbreaking, our crew captured brief interviews with some of the key players in bringing the brand to Old Fourth Ward.
Thank you Hilton Hotels for letting our video camera crew be apart of this groundbreaking event!! We look forward to working with you again on future projects.
