Continued from Part 1…
Day two started in Four Seasons room 242. We had three cameras turned on Katie Nolan and Jake Johnson (who proclaimed he’s “that guy from New Girl!”) as they shared breakfast burritos. The scene started with Katie in the dark and turning on a lamp — I had the job of striking our light from minimal power to 50% power at the moment she hit the lamp switch. We took one take at the scene and I hit my queues as Roggg, Nate and Austin covered Katie and Jake talking Cubs baseball and middle school gambling. Once we wrapped in room 242, Rollin’ with Nolan made it’s way to the convention center.
I broke away from the main group and canvassed the expo floor with the DJI Osmo. There’s a TON of cool and unique things happening on the expo floor — mostly different countries showcasing their unique technologies. Unfortunately, after a great start to our morning, the afternoon talent fell through. Roggg and I headed to 6th Street for B-roll, then made way to the Paramount Theater to record the red carpet for The Disaster Artist, a new film directed by James Franco. Roggg got some quick B-roll of Seth Rogen with James and Dave Franco. Seth, James and Dave weren’t on the red carpet long and as they were hurried into the theater, Roggg and I wrapped for the day.
Stay tuned for Part 3…
