Dr. Oz wanted to highlight the great work done by the JAYC Foundation in a segment for his show. The subject matter was intense, but truly uplifting. Jaycee Dugard was abducted at the age of 11 in 1991 and was not found until 18 years later when she was 29 years old. She was sexually assaulted which led to two children during her captivity. But she never gave up. She wanted to live and now she focuses on life, motherhood, family and therapy. She wants to help other families that have undergone traumatic events so her and her therapist, Rebecca Bailey, founded the JAYC Foundation. Dugard and Bailey showed us the facility that houses many therapy animals and sat down with us for an interview. The foundation is such a positive thing to come from such a traumatic event.
