Did you ever want a Go Kart growing up? We got a chance to be a kid for a day and check out the first digital SMART Go Kart, The Arrow Smart Kart. Our San Francisco crew hung out in Actev Motors workshop in Mountain View, CA for this quick piece for Daily Planet.
Actev Motors unveiled ‘Active Arrow’ the first smart-kart for kids. This thing has more tech than my Suburban! Designed for children ranging from four to nine years old, this kart comes with WIFI and GPS enabled capabilities as well as parental control via a smartphone app.
Move over Elan Musk, the Active Arrow is all electric, can go up to 12 mph, and even have attachable drift tires for drifting! WHAT?! Don’t you wish this was around when you were a kid? The funniest part of the shoot was when they raced the Smart-Kart inside around the computers and work area. Everyone continued working as if this was the norm and I’m sure that it is.
This was very much a run and gun setup; we used the Sony Fs7 and basic audio package with some fun GoPro shots thrown in there as well.
We’re racin’ off to the next shoot….
