It was a crazy week down in New Orleans covering the NBA All Star game for NBA Style. We didn’t shoot much basketball, but we were immersed in the world of baller fashion. All week we were hitting red carpets, talking to players, and visiting shops all in the name of NBA style. We started off by shooting a piece in an Italian suit shop down in the French Quarter. We had a player stylist come down and take our talent from regular dude to a suit wearing baller. Video Here: NBA Style: Style Mentor
After, he put his street clothes back on and we hit Bourbon street to ask people hanging out there what they think about NBA fashion. Their answer were… colorful. Find that piece by following this link: NBA Style: Bourbon Street.
The next day, we kept up the pace by starting off with a piece where our host interviewed the stylist for Melo. Video Here: NBA Style: Melo’s Style | NBA.com.
We hit the streets and shot my favorite piece of the week with Lance Fresh all about sneakers. I’m a shoe guy, so needless to say, I was kind of drooling seeing all these cool kicks with a splash of New Orleans style. We hit up a few of the big name shoe stores, checked them out, and even ran into a basketball legend who is launching his own shoe line. Check it out here: NBA Style: Latest & Greatest in Sneakers
Shoutout: “Jeff is great!”
We hit a few red carpets every night, went to a VIP party and watched Kid Rock perform, and got up mad early Sunday to shoot the studio portions of the show where we broke out a jib and killed it in the NBA Jam Session. The finished piece aired before the All Star game on Sunday and turned out awesome!
