AM 560 Chicago’s Morning Answer met with Lakeshore Recycling Systems’ CEO, Alan Handley, for the Signature Bank Business Tour

On Tuesday, March 20, 2018, Lakeshore Recycling Systems was proud to host Dan Proft and Amy Jacobson of AM 560 Chicago’s Morning Answer for an interview with Lakeshore’s CEO, Alan Handley, for the Signature Bank Business Tour.

During the interview, Handley talked about Lakeshore’s commitment to sustainable business practices as seen by the choice to operate without landfill ownership. Contrary to how most waste haulers operate, Lakeshore finds other ways to make a profit through recycling and sorting the materials that are collected. Handley also mentioned the background and history of the company along with the growth that Lakeshore has experienced in the past few years. From tripling the employee count to managing nine locations, Lakeshore is now the largest private waste and recycling provider in Illinois. When asked, Handley was happy to share unique items that have been found in the waste and recycling Lakeshore collects.
